Remarks from the creator
Greetings Scholars!
My amazing experience with the World Scholars Cup began in 2015. At the time I was 12 years of age, walking into a room with no idea what I could expect from the program. It was at the 2016 Global Round in Bangkok that I truly walked out of the auditorium loving the experience. Daniel Berdichevsky and the rest of the Alpaca team managed to do what I once thought was impossible. Create a detailed and interesting academic competition with an equally diverse and interesting social factor. I knew that the next season, I would return with ever more preparation in hand.
Miraculously, in the 2016-2017 season I managed to increase my standings in the rankings by a LOT. Yet for some reason I felt as though I had been given an unfair advantage.
Turns out I had.
As a teenager with no social life other than WSC and no serious after school commitments other than WSC, I had plenty of time on my hands once at home to study and practice debating. I realized that other scholars (even my teammates) didn't have that privilege. So I made a note to do something about it next season.
This website was the fruit of that realization.
After some negotiating with my team, avansalpacaresources.weebly.com went online in late February of 2018. Now scholars had a chance to study the curriculum and learn some tips to the other events of the WSC in a fraction of the time it once did.
I am proud of my work here, but I am also extremely thankful for all the support you guys have shown. Through commenting on my Weekly Updates to shaking my hand and even taking a selfie with me at Globals. You guys have propelled this website ever further and there's no sign of stopping it evolving ever more.
So look around, take good care of your alpaca(s) and I hope to see you at WSC rounds in the future.
Curriculum Connoisseur and Debate Lover,
Avan Fata

Hey guys, I’m Simho, living in Australia currently. I’ve kinda tripped into WSC head first after my first year with the community and that really created a domino into me joining AAR. Generally you can find me doing research about an obscure STEM subject, or in a debate about a controversial issue that Shaurya brought up. Hope I can see y’all a lot in the future!

Name: Thea Limgenco
My name is Thea Limgenco. I am here to stay as part of the Public Relations Commissariat . I am a born and raised Filipina who loves sweets. I love to join MUN conferences, take pictures, make new friends, sleep, and stress out about anything during my free time. I joined this commune to make new friends, learn, and because WSC is a fun community to be a part of. It is my first year to be a scholar and I am happy that I decided to take the ride. Please don't be afraid to approach me, if ever. I promise I won't bite.

Hello there! I do the thing with shapes and colors and I do the other thing that makes pictures move. You can also find me making bad puns, poetry, and once again renaming my alpaca to some new iteration of “Van Helsing”. I fell in love with the WSC community as much as I did with the competition, and I’m glad to finally be contributing to it as a part of the commune!
